Default Keeping A Weather Eye...

Just got around to taking some pictures. Here is a picture of a recent carving (more pictures are in the Gallery). All comments and critiques welcome!!

He is carved from a single piece of basswood with the exception of the umbrella which is 3 pieces. He is painted with Acrylics, antiques with BLO, sprayed with Matte Deft, and waxed with Feed-N-Wax.

Great looking figure, love the 'stache! Nice painting as well. Do you add any oil paint etc. or just use straight BLO?

Corey

Great carving and what a suitable time for him to show up, in view of the fact that we are in the middle of a two day snow storm here in Ontario Canada, very nicely done.

Thumbs up Re: Keeping A Weather Eye...

Great job Tony .. good expression and look .. the over doing on the mustache really adds to that character..

The carving and painting both are excellent ..

Again, nice job Tony. Really clean piece. Wondering about the shoes? European style? Poor man? Why not something British or stylish? Not that it has to be but a question of why you chose not to or perhaps you didn't even ask yourself?

Really like the work.
