Default "Jud Mudd"

I use to spent alot of my summers with my uncle and aint here in the mtns. His name was Jud Mudd,he didnt have any teeth, when he was a younger boy while plowing one day,the olde Mule had gas "really" bad,she blew back so hard she kicked my uncle's teeth out.

But later when he was a man,he went to the big city to get him some thems new plastic teeth from one of them ther dentist fell-o's.He only got two, said he couldnt a-fort all of them. But hes so proud of his two front teeth,he smiles all the time! Plus he can open coke a coca bottles tops with them! Which is good.

Last night we had a power full storm,:::rained::: so hard. My aint hollar,Jud get in here,She was in the bed," Jud Im tired of this rain hitting me in the face from that broken window, thats been broke for 7 years" I want it fixed where the rain wont hit my face and I want it fixed tonight,Right NOW!!"

Ok Okkkkkkkk Woman,I will fix it RIGHT NOW!! He stomped out the front door. In a few mins,I heard something on the roof,OHhhhh Man,maybe its santa coming back with the rest of the knive??{I thought} Last Christmas,I got a pocket knive, well I got the handle, maybe it is Santa with the blades this time?

AWwwwwww No,It was my uncle Jud as he climbed down off the roof. He came in just in time as my aint cryed ""JUDDDDDDDDDD"" What did you do??

He walked to the back bedroom,a water fall was pouring in on my aints feet!

"I chopped a hole in the roof to de-vert the water" Buttttttttttt now its drown my feets my aint shouted. In a soft voice,my uncle Jud said,"well its off your face and thats what you told me to do!!"

One thing about my uncle Jud,he knew how to make money even with him not working a day in his life. He would sit all day on the front porch,he chewed toe-back-e and would try to spit and hit a mud puddle near the porch. He did this over a long period of time. People heard Jud had put in one of thems there rich folks fish ponds with a bron-zz statue by it. He would charge 5 cents a car load for folks to drive up to the house and see his fish pond, course it was mud hole with 59yrs of toe-back-e that had lumped up near it over 5 ft tall.

Theres alot more about me spending the summers with my uncle Jud but I have a big problem myself with my new band saw?? Yea I set it up yesterday and looked into one of the 2 doors on it,Dangggggggg someone had cut a two man cross cut saw in half and bent it around two wheels in this thing, then once I turned it on? "There wasnt any music" playing. It said,on the box even,a :BAND:-saw.....hellooooooo?? So Im off here to take this broken dang band saw back to Sears & Row-buckie"

Hes carved in bass wood, thats a wood that grows and is shape like a fish.

Hes 1 1/4 X 1 1/2 X 4 inches. As always,your thoughts and comments are more than welcome.

Thanks for your time,Forrest

Forrest,
Now this is one of the main reasons why this message board is so addicting. I truly enjoy finding one of your tales along with a fine carving.
I've seen pictures of you, and honestly, you must take after the other side of the family.
thanks for the chuckle.
Thor

LOLOL......as usual, your carvings are only exceeded by your stories!! You are one-of-a-kind, Forrest, my good friend! Uncle Judd is a typical folk-art experience that only you can offer!! Love him!.....and I sure hope you are keeping a collection of these lil' folk somewhere. Later down the line, a group picture would be fantastic!! Bonnie

Oh my Forrest! Talk about a laugh-out-loud moment!
I believe if you had not had clothes on, I would have remembered the three ratted up hairs! It seems you must have been dressed.
What a guy! What a talent, and oh, so humble to boot!
