Default "Irish's" Migrant Worker

Attached is my interpretation of Susan Irish's excellent drawing of "Tuckers" migrant worker picture. Basswood with acrylic paints, deft satin finish, size is 4 1/2" X 2 1/2".

Thanks for the drawing Susan and thanks Clif "Tucker" for putting out the earlier carving challenge.

Also atatched a picture of Susan's drawing she has posted earlier for reference.

Outstanding Coffeeman! An excellent representation of her drawing! Your carving is equally as impressive as her sketch!

Thanks to all for your nice replies....

Three things that I was tring to learn while doing this carving was;
1) accentuuate the hair line on boths sides of his head and
2) blend the eyebrows into his forhead so I didn't end up with a buldging eyebrow effect and
3) create a wide but healthly looking nose.

He was a fun guy to carve and a great learning experience.

Bill
