| | Introduction and Gnome pattern request I am new to the board and would like to say Hello to all. I am impressed with all of the talent that I have seen on the board so far. I am wanting to carve a traveling gnome (kinda like the one on TV commercial) for my daughter who is a freshman in college for her and her friends to take with them on their adventures and take pictures of him. I was hoping that someone might have a good pattern that they could send me. I would like it to be between 8” – 12” tall. Thanks in advance. Jim |

| | Re: Introduction and Gnome pattern request Jim,
You might also try going to one of the craft stores and buy a resin gnome. Michaels and JoAnns fabrics and crafts are two that come to mind. You can make a pattern from it and you have a " Go by" to look at while you are carving.
Good luck or as Hiho says Gnood luck! |

| | Re: Introduction and Gnome pattern request Thanks to all that replied. I checked with the local shop and they do not have Tom Wolfs book. I think that I will go to the craft store and get the "go by". I think that was a darn good idea. Thanks again to everyone for the help
