Default "Honey You Seen My Pants"

This Feb, a friend told me,Forrest you should try some bass wood.I said,NAwwwwwwwww I will just use this found wood to carve. Well a few days later, there was a box at my door, opening it, I found some nice square blocks of light wood!

So I carve some of it,course then I was hooked on it--LOL

I carved several small funny caricatures,as Judd Mudd and others, then a few bears also. The past few days,I wanted to not only try carving a funny old man but create a whole scene. This is a old man, like myself and he forgets things, like myself again!! The old man is 5 3/8 inches tall, the sink is 5 inches tall and the total base is 8 1/2 inches.

He had on his pants but forgot while heading to the sink to get his teeth. Hes got his tooth paste and brush in his hands. Not knowing when I carved his teeth, they fit.

Course,he yells "Honey You Seen My Pants" Thier old cat,is laughn and pointing,Heresssss your pants, right behind you!! Duhhh~

I hope you get a laugh out of this carving as I did carving and painting it!

Your thoughts or comments are always welcome. Thks Forrest

I love it!

I have some bass wood that I bought from SMWC but I have not put my knife into it yet. I have tons of white pine laying around and I am afraid of being spoiled.

Spectacular!! Forrest, your originality never ceases to amaze me. Where do you GET these ideas! LOL.....and how you can combine your folk art/caricature carvings with such realism through your painting is such a highly unique combination......right down to the reflection in the mirror! There is so much to look at here, and the cat is simply hysterical. Great job, my friend! Bonnie
