Default Here's another little person

Santa is three inches tall. Still needs to be cleaned and painted, but thought I'd show it anyway.

Cute little feller Claude. I know you have answered this before, but my mind doesn't remember to well - What tools do you use? Specifically which tools on this little feller. Regardless, it's very well done...Thanks Tom H

Hi, Tom.
I used a Flexcut roughing knife, Flexcut detail knife, Butz detail knife, and my Dockyard micro 1.5mm #2, 1.5mm #9, 3mm #9, 1.5mm v tool. The gouges and v tool were used to do the base for the eyes and the inside of the candy cane, and the small flat chisel for cleaning out between the hands - rest was all knife work except for the hair detailing where I used the v tool and 1.5mm gouge.

You know there is an unwritten law that if you do a little person, you have to do one 3 foot tall next don't you? lol Good one Claude!

Claude .. Talk about the icing on the cake .. All I can say is great job of both .. carving and painting alike .. The painting really brought out the great detail in the figure .. By the way .. love the candy cane he's holding ..

great job
