Default Happy

Carved a reduced Enlow hobo out of the book, messed the head up. Decided to try to carve a new head, and glue on the hobo. After fretting over this one, decided leave it as a bust. Not happy with his ears, and turkey neck. His neck kept getting smaller as I attempted to make a decent looking shirt collar. Its a good learning tool. Seeing all the excellent carvings in this forum, sparks my efforts. I am in a RV park, taking advantage of the fast internet, I am on dial up at home.

Looks great. Keepm it as a learning tool and keep on carving. I would hate to show my first one but I keep it around as a reminder of how far I have come.

Carl, I think your post is a reminder that we are our own worst critic. I think this guy is full of expression and well proportioned and he made me smile when I saw him. Definatly a keeper. Thanks for sharing him.

Well done. I have found that a realistic ear is the hardest feature to carve.

Nice job on the mini Carl. It is tedious carving small for sure. It is hard making tiny cuts instead of what one would normally make. You did a very good job on this one and you can be proud of it.
