Lynn is guessing he's a "girlly" guy. But yep, you're right, HE's a gunfighter in front of a fence. There is a wanted poster with his picture on it posted on the fence. He is sporting a garter on each arm which is leading to Lynn's comments about his manlyness. Truth is he took those garters off of a VERY tough bar maid.

Thanks. For me the outside pictures always turn out better. Gotta figure out a better indoor system sometime.

Gee....I hope I didn't "out" Handsome Harry. I only made the observation about the garters as they looked a little frilly for a dangerous gunfighter. As he has a $10.000 price on his head he must be one "bad" dude. Any chance of your doing a carving of that Bar Maid? Now that's one I'd really like to see...with or without her garters!

Again, you did a great job on that scene.

Great looking carving Steve
I especially like the "night stalker" Harry picture

hey...I thought you said the rough out stage gives you the willies. by the looks of your website I'd say you've got it down. Great stuff and great imagination too

I can see it now: on another base, right next to Harry, is a tall, well-endowed, Bar Maid, short frilly skirt and almost-revealing top, standing there with hands on hips, face looking furious, and a silk stocking piled up around each ankle, since she has no garters...

I can just picture your "Babe" in my mind right now. Better stop or I'm gonna get popped up the side of my head. Sure is tempting to try a female carving. Never have done one in "full" figure.

I have a friend that only takes infra-red pictures and gets that night time look in all of her pictures. Best I can do is grayscale.

And Yep, I sweat bullets when I start a carving. The roughout leaves me scratching my head for hours. I used to do graphite drawings and making those first marks on the paper were the hard ones. Same as with carving. Those first couple of hours do me in. But Thanks for the comments.

Thanks. I liked the wanted poster idea and needed somewhere to hang it. The fence was a natural.

Harry likes to fool the ladies into letting their guard down. Just when they think their safe out pops the Manly Man. That reward may well have been posted by a jilted lover.

I may have to try the bar maid. Claude sure paints a vivid picture of a floosy.

Steve, I don't know how I missed your great carvings till now, they are all spectacular, man, have you got talent or what, It's 3:30 AM Tues morning here in Canada and as usual I can't sleep so I snoop the forum, and there you are, WOW, thanks for showing, you certainly proved something to me. It' sure is great to take instruction from some one that knows what's going on. This self taught stuff leaves a lot to be desired but just ain't know way I can get to any of those seminars state side. Oh well, at least I get to see all the great carvings thru this great forum. Thanks again.
Cliff
