| | H.L.Enlow carving on Ebay Even though Ive had this hill billy carving of Mr Enlow's for over 30yrs, I talked with him last Sat.{3-17-07} Its carved from butter nut and I told him about working selling my art work at the big Memphis,Tn flea mkt off and on for 13yrs. I told him I bought this little carving from a dealer that was set up there, thinking about 1972 or 74?? He told me thats about the right time frame he carved it.
All my children are grown and this carving wouldnt mean alot to them like it would to a real carver or or art collector! I will be listing it on Ebay in a few wks.
Just thought Id inform the carvers here should any of you have a intrest in owning one of Harold. L. Enlows carving! TnArtist |

| | Re: H.L.Enlow carving on Ebay Daddio! Where are U in Ms?? I lived in Horn Lake MS for 22yrs/right out of Mphs. My three married children still live there! I retired in 97" with severe emphysema {was put on oxygen last year}plus other medicals problems. That too is why Im going to sell this Enlow carving. H.L. Enlow has touched millions of carvers lives, hes such a Master carver plus when I talked to him last Sat,he was just as easy to talk with as anyone Ive ever known.
By selling this carving,Mr.Enlow too will help my carving for I will be buying some gouges & chisels. I will post here once I have the carving on Ebay.
Thks again,Forrest TnArtist05

| | Re: H.L.Enlow carving on Ebay OHhhhhhhhh YES Gene! I called him, really never thinking I would hear back from his answering service! Yes hes such a humble gentleman plus we all know how hes helped artist & carvers all over the world! I use to be so strong and never thought Id be humbled as now but its good to finally slow down! I carve inside using a charcoal breathing mask plus a super vac which doesn't allow any dust to reach me. I work twice as hard now days with my carving & other art work,it seems to keep me going plus stronger!
Prayers are great,Thanks Gene!

| | Re: H.L.Enlow carving on Ebay Ive been through Columbus! I love good chopped Bar-B-Q I use to stop in Lexington Tn right out of Jackson Tn.Theres a olde run down Bar-B-Q shack called Scott's! It was in the Washington ,that it was the 3rd best Bar-B-Q in the nation! I made a point to stop several times from Mphs to East Tn to eat at Scotts. In Mphs and Ms down in the delt, its so hot & humid where as in the Mtns its cooler and the air is higher.I breathe better here.I will put the carving on Ebay about the middle of next wk and post a link here. Thks"Daddio
