Hi Everyone
He is about 5" tall bass wood.Still working on the big head look I like this look alot.Thanks Gene for giving us this ideal!!! i hope you enjoy the photos.

That little fig looks great Windsong. I love how you treated this one with the teeth and head hanging down like that and the additional details like the wrinkles etc. You are inspiring to a beginner like me!

I like the head hanging down look also i carved one a few month ago with his head down and could not rember how i did it.I carved this guy yesterday and saw what i had to do to place his head lower on the body.I do that a lot i will carve a little guy and then forget how i did something to make him look a certain way.I guess it fun learning thing the only problem is most of the time it the same thing over and over!!!

Very nice Vic, I like the slant of the mouth and the little peek at the teeth. I like the nice clean cuts and clear features.

Hey Winfsong, great carving. I'll betcha Genes feelin mighty proud as to how yer flat plane is comming along. I tried one today like that, dang thing ended up in the scrap box along with some of his brothers, I'm having a heck of a time getting it right, but I ain't givin up just yet,I've got a BIG scrap box.

I've been carving going on a year now i still scrap one ever once in a while. The more you pratice the better you will get.Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

Windsong, dang, I hear ya, I'll be rolling along and then for no good reason, I just seem to lose it. I guess maybe old age or something's got something to do with it. There's only so many times you can alter an item and then it's good bye baby and on to another one. Oh well, at least ya don't get bored.
