| | Good to the Last Drop-Finished Put the finishing touches on the piece this morning. Turned out pretty well.
I have also attached some photos of a horse and steer which are part of a couple of projects I'm presently working on. |

| | Re: Good to the Last Drop-Finished Beautiful job.....you made a great carving, extraordinary! Love the expressions.......even made the steer look interesting, not something you'd think would have expressiveness. Well done.

| | Re: Good to the Last Drop-Finished I'm glad now you didn't just stain the cowboy. Great paint job!
The horse looks like he should be part of the tableau, maybe reaching over the cowboy's shoulder for a sip... |

| | Re: Good to the Last Drop-Finished Lynn,
I just got to know.
in the compiled image below the head of unfinished and finished are in different directions,
was the head an add on or is this two different carvings,
I love the animals, as well... |

| | Re: Good to the Last Drop-Finished Lynn, I have always said that I was a self-taught woodcarver. But that’s not really true. It’s people like you Lynn that I learn so much from. An example is your project -cowboy with saddle-. I cannot stop looking at this carving. The wrinkles in his cloths, the painting job and how it shows wear in certain areas, and that saddle is just unbelievable. Others of yours that I like are the old Camp Cooks that you do. One of these days I have got to try one of these with a Martha White Flour apron. Thanks for being so generous with your carving and painting tips….Myron | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
