Default Gentleman Jack

Yet another bottlestopper - this one for a bottle of fine old Gentleman Jack. It took three weeks for the Sanding Sealer to outgas on this one...

For Ron: This is a 4 inch high bottlestopper - its a bust of Gentleman Jack Daniels. He has a bushy brown mustache and goatee, a bow tie, a black coat with a maroon vest, and he's wearing his white stetson.

This will be my last carving for probably several weeks - I'm going in Monday morning for a quadruple bypass that two weeks ago I didn't even know I needed. The good news is that they found out before anything really bad happened. You all keep carving and posting lots of photos for me to look at - I should be home in a week.

Claude

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.

claude, you been kicking it into high gear lately, all the lil fellers have been great, and something to be proud of

the term outgas? dose this mean to loose the paint smell?

sorry to hear your having the proceedure, Pay attention to the docs and nurses about keeping your arms down and not using them for nothing ... you dont want to have the situation i have with a unhealed sternum,,,

I know its a somber thought of having the proceedure done, but i had the same and was out of the hospital in 3 days,,, near 3 years ago..

our prayers with you for a compaident sergeon and a fast healing period..

You have my thoughts and prayers as well. I pray success for your doctors, it is fantastic that they were able to find this in advance!

I also love the carving, looks like a true southern gentleman :>)
