Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

Tom - I did realize the hat brim did not wrap around like Lynn's. I completed mine about two weeks ahead of Lynn so I could get it done and entered in a woodcarving contest at a fair. I just waited until Lynn got his done before posting any pictures of mine. He got a third place ribbon.

My "Quiggley Down Under" contest piece got second. And our late carving friend Henry Donaldson got the first place ribbon. Way to go Henry!!!

So, thanks again everyone for the nice comments.

Terry, I've just came back to see your Gabby, and you did a wonderful job on him. You did Lynn real proud. I've had no time to do Gabby, but I am going to try, and will post when I'm done. Real good. fred k

Terry, very nice job on carving and painting Gabby. I have him carved but not painted but he is not as well done as yours but I am still very happy with him it is a different type carving for me and I really had fun with it. Thanks for posting
