| | Flat plane singers Here is a trio of singers. Given the way the two on the outside are looking at him, I'm guessing the guy in the middle is off key. |

| | Re: Flat plane singers Mike .. What can I say ? ... Absolutely wonderful ...
When I saw them .. I just thought what a great scene and carving this is ...
Simple .. yet .. so enjoyable to look at ..
Your cuts are clean and just make the characters .. and your painting lets the wood show through and just add's to this .. Love the way you did the mouths to signify their singing ..
These are some great looking characters ..
need I say more
Thanks for sharing

| | Re: Flat plane singers Mike,
Good job on the carvings, nice scene. You've got the flat-plane carving down in my opinion. I just recently bought on Ebay Harley Refsal's video. It's a pretty good video of him carving a figure in the flat-plane style. I'm going to have to give it a try as soon as I finish my current carving project. I haven't done a lot of carving lately, but I am working on a hillbilly scene. Take care and I'm looking forward to our trip to Carve-Fest 2007 in August.
