Post First carving ever

***I'd like to thank all of you who have posted such nice messages to me for my first carving. You guys are very encouraging and I'm definitely going to continue carving. If I could aspire to coming close to some of the amazing and creative carvings I have seen from some of you, I will be very happy. Thanks again.*** Karen

I've just finished my first - ever carving. I carved a tree spirit on a cypress knee. I love carving....I think I'm addicted! I guess it's somewhat primative but, it is my first one. I know I can improve with practice.

Hey Karen,
You did a nice job. Took me a long time before I carved anything that looked even close to that one! Finish looks great. Keep up the good work!

Well done Santa. Set that one aside and go on and carve to your hearts content. A year or two from now, dig it out and compare! You'll see the difference that practice makes. Great job.
