Default First attempt at carving

I was looking for something to keep my hands busy after retiring and came across caricature carving. I got much needed help watching Gene Messer on Utube, just watching his hands is great. This is my first attempt at carving and would appreciate your comments and criticisms. I call him my Stockbroker.

Thanks, Gerald

First attempt? That would be a heck of a carving after three years. You look like a pro. I enjoy Gene's videos also. I'm sure Gene will be proud.

You've done a great job for your first caricature, and it will only get better. You've managed "eyes, hands, and the head on an angle" which is something that many of us don't try to attempt until we've carved for some time. Also you've done a great job on the painting........
