Default Finished the Geezer

Hi All,
Managed to finish the old guy I posted earlier and am now working on a companion piece as he is to be part of a scene I have in mind. Was fairly happy with this one and thought I would share it. The piece is basswood (aren't they all) and the figure is about 6" tall, finished with thin acrylic paints and BLO. Hands were a little hard to carve at this scale. Hope ya enjoy him!

Thumbs up Re: Finished the Geezer

Jim, that is a great carving with plenty of fine detail. He has a nice smile and I think his hair is just the way I like it........since mine looks about the same!

Jim, you did a wonderful job on your geezer and he qualifies for an entry in CCA competiton. Carving and painting are right up there, One question though, who was the model or did you look in the mirror??? LOL

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.
