Default Finished Bear

Finally got around to finishing up the bear I carved earlier this year.

Basswood: 4 3/4 " H x 5 1/4 " W x 3 1/2" D
Acrylic wash
3 coats of Deft Satin spray

The little bride has it now.

Comments welcomed good or bad.

I love that bear Kenny, nice job. Is that a pattern from a book?

That is a really cool pose for him or her, I have a question the Deft spray that you used the satin is that glossy or not I can not tell from the pics. But nice job!

Satin has a light sheen to it. No, it is not Glossy. Thought about using Gloss but decided not to. Actually I use the Satin for more of a protectant than for the sheen.

Thanks all, I appreciate the nice comments.

BTW, the little bride said she wanted a plaque with,
" I can't believe I ate the whole thing", on it to put with her Bear. Hmmmm, I wonder if she is referring to me?

So looks like a base will be added later.maybe butternut.

How funny, Kenny, that's the first thing I thought when I saw the bear, "I can't believe I ate the whole thing". He really looks like a stuffed teddy bear. Very cute.
