Default Finally, something to show.

It ain't much, but dang, it's a start. I've been studying and reading for a couple months or so and finally I think I've got it together. This is not the greatest in the world but every body had to start some where. I've been busy making walking sticks for Xmas gifts (all woodburned) so they don't count.. First off, Merry Christmas to all, and to all the guys and gals that have posted their great carvings, many thanks, they are an inspiration to all of us newbies.

Thanks guys, those are words of praise that I really don't deserve yet, but I hope to earn them soon. Gene, I've finished your little guy tutorial, hope to get it painted in the next couple days, will post it then, thanks for the tutorial.

Tucker1931, I think you did a pretty good job for something that small. When you get around to it I'll bet you find larger pieces a lot easier. Hard to do small detail.

That a very good job and you did a good job on the painting. What do you carve a golf ball with?a knife or power tools. Is it a hard material on the in side?I like where you used the tee and another ball for the stand good thinking.I know this just your start put what a good start it was!!!!
