Default Few more bottle stoppers

I just finished up these bottle stoppers, which are a hoot to do. I wanted to experiment with the BLO ( and I didnt have a rake handle). The stopper with the red scarf is all painted, one coat of deft then hand waxed with minwax ( my wife and I are a husband and wife team, she does all the painting) the one with the yellow scarf had the hair painted then dipped in BLO patted dry then sprayed with deft, while it was still wet then hand waxed the next day. The one with the blue scarf was painted, skin and hair, then dipped in BLO...big mistake ! I think BLO has its place, and it sure gives a tone different from paint that sometimes is desirable. Anyway, what do yall think ?

Very nice! Your carving technique as well as your choice and application of finish are super.

You and your wife make a great team. The carving and painting are both excellent

Those were nice enough for me to put in my "carve these soon" file. The carving and paint are excellent. The BLO seems to have helped with the colors, not hindered. I see no mistake.

We're in the process of moving to Rockport, TX, so "soon" is now around mid-October.
