Default Double Amputee Finished

As posted a couple weeks ago, I had to cut both arms and legs off this carving, they didn't suit the plan I had in mind. Someone suggested I do a bobber in a cage instead of a golf ball (being as I fish every day) so here is the completed project. The arms are attached at the shoulder and the legs at the knees. Overall height is 11 1/4 inches the figure is 4 1/4 carved from bass wood. The fish is supposed to be a carp, but not really a good specemin as I'm not the best painter in the world. Man, I'm glad it's finished, hope you like it.
Cliff

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.

turned out great cliff,

i do see the left arm meeting area did give you some trouble, but now you have experienced the add on parts,
and you have another trick in your bag to use when the parts just are to weak from using the grain structure of a single block , lots of times add ons can strengthen the carving when thought through...
i commend you on your commitment to follow the carving through, for the experience we can sometimes learn more than carving a new one,
