This here is my upper inner left leg. The bandage is covering a pretty good little bleeding slash I put in it a few minutes ago. I was cutting away from me, but failed to see that a knife could pop thru and get to my leg. it sure did. I cut a good nick in my pants leg, and theres a good two inch blood circle around it. Darn it. I was gonna go water hunting in the morning, but i don't know if i want to get that wet or not. Smart thing would be to at least stay in the knee deep or so area. Anyhow, don't do this. |

Yikes! I hope it turns out alright JD. Carving away from you is good, making sure no body parts are behind the knife...priceless. Stay safe, Joe.

Hope you heal up fast. But your post reminds me of what Tony Erickson some times says during his carving classes. "Carving is a finesse sport, so no grunting". This is so true. Most of the times that I have cut myself, it might have resulted from too much force being used. Tom H |

JD Jim, be thinking of you as you heal. Any of us that have cut ourselves know how fast it happens. Take care.
