Default Dog face

This one I made tonight while watching a WWII movie with the family. I had a length of 1" square basswood on the end table and picked it up when the movie was dragging a little. I decided to try one of Mr. Messer's little people and this is the result.

I may stay up and paint the old boy tonight as he needs a little color in his cheeks.

Well he is all painted. You can see he has been in the field for a good while. He deserves some rest so I am placing him in reserve for the night.

Sorry for the cloudy photos. I left my good camera at work.

Absolutely wonderful, Joe. This is the level of small caricature carving that I aspire to. I have a long way to go.

Nice one Joe, like the fact you included the insignia on the helmet!
