Default How do you like these?

I finished painting these today. I used a Lynn Doughty head pattern for the heads and hats, the full body feller uses a Gerald Sears style body. The bust was from the Pete Ortell fireman project. As usual I can see now where I could of spent a little more time, specially where mating the crown to the brim of the hat, that is harder than Lynn made it look in the blog, need more practice to make it work right. Comments or critiques welcome.

Bye now
Scott

Hey.......Nice job on those Scott. You did a good job on the hats and the faces. My only suggestion would be to watch that you don't go overboard on the ears. All carvers like to do the detail but you have to be careful you don't take it too far. Again, nice work!
