I would like to have something to display the bottlestoppers that I carver but do not think I want bottles sitting all around the house. Anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or pictures of what you use to display your bottlestoppers. Would love to see examples!! Thanks! Blake |

I don't carve any Blake but how about a a stand like you would display your carving tools. Just make the holes as big as the bottlestoper neck. Like maybe 3 or 4 display on each stand or even 4 to 5. Leave about a 1/2" in between each head. Since they will be displayed for others to see, make them out of oak or walnut or some nice grained wood. Or even make a rack of 3 shelves with 4 heads each nor how ever many shelves you want and number of heads.

Cut the top portion off a plastic soda bottle or use a glass cutter and cut the top off some wine bottles. You would have to drink the wine first but that don't sound too bad either!! Garon |

Blake: Look at the CCA auction items and see how Pete displays the two bottle toppers. He drills a piece of 1 1/2 stock and carved a face in the stand.

I think Carolina Carver is onto the solution. Get you a Forstner? bit to drill a hold the size you want and drill a home the depth you need. Just line up the blocks on a nice display base and you've got it!

Same as here....I received a bottle stopper carving from the W3E carving exchange "secret pal" swap. I have never done one or received one..and didn't know what to do with it......so I cut out a piece of 2x2x3/4 pine, sanded it ...put the carvers name on front and drilled a hole in the center to accept the cork...works great!

blake, i had quite a few bottlestoppers to display one time. so i built a 3 teired rack, that looks like steps going up . you can build thes any length and height according to how many you have. mine was about 12-14" long and about 8" tall. mine is made out of 3/4 pine. i would take a pic of it but it is packed up right know. maybe in the next week or so i can do that. this way works good if you have alot if you only have a few. then then other ways are good to. hope this helps bart |

I just took a piece of scrap wood about 3 inches square and 1 inch thick, more or less rounded off the corners, then more or less rounded off the top edge. Drilled a hole in the center with a Forstner bit, stained and varnished it. Can't show a photo, as my wife already packed it away with the snowman it was displaying... Claude |

Thanks everyone for your suggestions! I will definitely be trying some of these options and will post some pictures when I get one finished. If any of you run across pictures of your stands, please feel free to share. I don't mind borrowing a good idea! Thanks for your suggestions! Blake |
