Default Dayton was a good show

I had the pleasure of meeting Lynn Doughty. His carvings were more incredible in person than in his blog. The detail in each just goes on forever. Everywhere you look there was some small detail you missed the first time you saw it. Lynn is as pleasant and helpful in person as on this and his site.

The CCA train was fun to see lots going on with it. You can readily pickout the different styles of carvers in it particularly Dave Stetson, Floyd Rhadigan, David Sabol, and David Boone. All of which I talked with and found each a wonderful bounty of information and tips.

If you've never been to it it is well worth the trip just to meet some of the great carvers of our day. I'll post a couple photos in a day or two.
See you all later,
Doug

I agree Doug. It was a wonderful show. The CCA members were very friendly. Lynn Doughty's carvings are even more unbelieveable in person. Really great to meet Lynn and his wife. My one and only woodcarving show for the year. Looking forward to the 2007 show...Myron
