| | Davy Here's a rendition of Davy Crockett, inspired by Gene Messer's work. It's a "sort of" flat plane style, with a little work with a gouge and some rounding where I wanted to. I'm still deciding about painting it - what are your thoughts.

Nicely done. I vote for paint. Looks good now, but I agree with Joy that hat needs color.
