Thanks for all the kind comments. The Dish logo was just handpaintd on freehand as were the other signs. I use a small brush with the tip cut straight across to give me a caligraphy tip. I then mix the paint quite fluid and paint just like I would write with the pen. Works real well.

Lynn,
As always, your carvings are amazing - carving and painting. Love the theme on this one. Too funny...

What a funny carving! I agree with everyone that your carvings are in a class by themselves, Lynn, and it's impossible to critique, because after all.....what IS there to critique? LOL I always enjoy the unique combination of realism and caricature that you can somehow always achieve in your work, and the paint job is incredible. Another terrific and humorous carving! Thanks for showing it.. Bonnie

Lynn... For us igno's what size brush are you using and if you get a chance would you consider taking a photo of the brush tip so that we can get a visual on just what you're talking about? I fully realize that you've probably got more artistic ability in your big tow than I have in my entire body but I attempted small graphics like your "Dish" lettering on my last two projects and they didn't come out nearly as nice as yours do.... I'm just looking for any helpful techniques that I can find to compensate for my lack of artistry!

Great carving Lynn, especially like the color choices made for the outhouse (the wood looks properly aged!!).

Keep up the great work!
