Yep, Neat Number Five, Can relate to the painting theme. Needed him to help paint the house. probably would have been more help than the little bride.

Cottonwood I use Delta Creamcoat I water it down to a thin wash.

Arnold, it appears you have used an antique for your final coat. Seems to do the job without darkening the colors a lot.
I have used Watco fruitwood danish oil lately. Bill Butterfield got me started doing that.
