Default Cowboy's Throne

I love to carve horses. They are so much fun and offer quite a challenge. I was looking for a way to put this little guy into a scene when I came across Lynn's "Darn I dropped the Remote" piece. My wife loved it and told me to go for it. I sure hope Lynn approves. I apologize for the quality of the photos. My camera is great for family snapshots, but not for upclose portraits.

The piece is around 12" tall to the top of the power pole and carved out of basswood. Your comments would be appreciated, especially the ones that give honest and constructive critiques. After all, I'm looking to improve with each piece I carve.

Guess I'd better start taking calcium pills before I'm completely replaced. Nice job!

No critique here, just praise for a job well done. I haven't seen Lynn's so I can't compair it to his.

Your love of horses shows.

Thanks guys for your kind words. Lynn, don't worry, you are irreplaceable, just get that hand healed up and keep on with the amazing tutorials. They say that if you want to be great, mimic the masters. So, I will stand on the shoulders of giants until I get a style of my own. Again, thanks for the comments.

That's wonderful! That satellite dish on the top is killing me, lol. I guess Lynn gets credit for that?

I really need to fully explore his blog one of these days.
