| | Couple of new carvings Hi all,
Attached are a couple of new carvings I've done.
There all in my favorite size to work with about 3 inches.
It makes a nice size for lap carving, with out so many chips to sweep up.
I just kinda carve from the seat of my pants, just a rough idea and go for it. I don't use to many patterns.
Let me know what you think. I can use some honest critiquing.
Thanks
Doug |

| | Re: Couple of new carvings Great stuff! I especially like the first one.
For Ron: The first one shows a mouse, sitting up on a block of swiss cheese and he's munching away on a smaller piece. The second shows one of the "shelf-sitter" style mice, on top of the block of swiss cheese and his head hanging over the side of it. The last is a mallard duck, painted and shaped just like the big ones. |

| | Re: Couple of new carvings Doug... Even though I have already given you a 10 in the phto galleries .. Let me say again .. I think your mice are great ...for just a sit down carving .. your subject is unique and your carving , painting, and textureing of the mouse is wonderful .. as you can see ..I like these type of simple subject scenes .. And the cheese just makes the scene stand out .. great job on the mice and the duck .. |

| | Re: Couple of new carvings Doug, I think I like the mouse the best, no the duck is best. Well, on second look I like the mouse best, or is it the duck? Cannot vote, like them both...and then there is the size! My favorite too. Well done, Tom H |
