| | Re: a couple of my carvings Outstanding! Those are going to be real heirlooms. I often wonder if all the carvings that I do and pass on to our kids and grand kids are really appreciated or just accepted as another quirk of the "old man!"

About three or four years ago I gave one of my grandsons another carving for Christmas, I had previously given him a walking stick and another carving I can't recall off hand, and heard a remark I don't think I was supposed to hear. It was along the lines of "Oh sh*i, not another carving". That was before he saw the U.S. savings bond I had included with the carving. I have not given him anything since.......... |
