Man your painting is second to none. the carvings look so good in the raw and then you post them after they are painted and it's like..WOW!

Great carving Lynn, I always enjoy seenig what your up to, I saw grandma and I can't wait to see what situation you put her in I like the one where she gets a tatoo. Keep em' coming!!!!

Another winner Lynn! Enjoying your blog too. At Wichita, Tom Brown spent quite a bit of time going over my work and offering what I consider some very valuable suggestions. One was the importance of a nice base for the work to sit upon. You do such a great job on the bases, my question is do you turn (lathe) some of them. Such as the Indian chief shown at Wichita. It was on a taller base. Otherwise, I know from the blog that you use the router.

Ed. It's the base that makes the carving just as it's the frame that makes the picture. Yes, I turn some of the larger bases. Thanks for the comments
