| | Re: Coon for the Hound Dog! Hey Corey, that sure does look like a coon to me and believe me, I see plenty of them, I trap 2 or 3 a week here in the boonies. They drive us crazy. Great job, should look great when he's painted.

| | Re: Coon for the Hound Dog! Thanks guys, I have him painted up now. Thomas, maybe a little. It does look better painted. I painted him as does Tom Wolfe, with a Sienna stain on the hole body and then black and white for the tell tale raccoon markings.
Thanks again,
Corey |

| | Re: Coon for the Hound Dog! Now complete and painted. I used oil and acrylic paints. Simple paint job that high lights the raccoon characteristics. Thomp, nose still looks a little long but a little better after paint. Anyway, thanks for looking.
Lynn, thanks I appreciate it. I am going to put him in a scene and I am carving a tree truck to set him on.

| | Re: Coon for the Hound Dog! Corey .. When I see your piece .. it makes all the videos I have done worth while .. There is nothing more wonderful to see someone outdo you with a piece ..
When I do the video .. I try to hurry up some so as not to make it too long and I never know if I covered everything the way I should have ..
I know that if you can get the person a good knife and teach them to sharpen it well .. Show them how to do it and then turn them loose to be creative .. you can see how the student can out do the teacher ..
The coon is great looking and you have done a wonderful job on him .. You have learned fast and your cuts and finishing is just right ..
So proud of this piece ..
Everyone that does any of the projects .. just encourages me so much it is all worth it ..
Great job ..
Gene
