Default Chip Chats pattern by Vic Otto

I haven’t had much time for carving this year because of trying to settle my dads estate. My wife seen this pattern on the back of my latest issue of Chip Chats and ask me to carve her one. Many thanks to Vic Otto for the pattern. I only made just a couple of changes.

Good one Myron! Now you have to make two more and make salt and pepper shakers out of them!

Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing Myron. A step we all have to pass in our life, the leaving of our parents. Great carving, dandy little dude! I trust your wife is happy with him?

Thanks Hi Ho Sliver, The salt and pepper shakers is a good idea.
And Thanks to Bart, I love the face details on yours. Blake, I would sure recommend Chip Chats, It’s not expensive and I sure enjoy getting it. Jax, he measures about 6-1/2” tall. I used a 7/8” forstner bit for the top and went about 1-1/2” deep. The base is about 3-1/2” square.
Also thanks to Ken and Arnold…….Myron

Thanks Bob, Yes my wife really likes him. Zax, I failed to mention that I made the base 7/16 high. I used wooden dowels to attach him....Myron
