Default CCA - Any news?

Just thought I'd throw this out there to see how message board members did at the CCA's. Has anyone heard the results yet?

Thanks.

Mark,

We will be heading down for the day so I am sure I will see you there. I don't think we will be able to stay for the pumpkin carving contest, but I look forward to watching the carving contest on saturday.

Hi Everyone, been home about 2 hours after 4 days of intense activities. Had a lot of fun. Had mini-seminars with Enloe, LeClair, Brown, and Ortel. Had the day long seminars with Tom Wolfe, Bob Travis, and Steve Prescott.

Did anyone on the board win anything? All I can say is when Mark (Carolina Carver) and Mitchell (Mitchell) go over, they had better take their trucks so they can haul their ribbons home. I think they won 3 each, maybe 4. I'm sorry if others had entered and I didn't identify with their names. Some of you know Allen Goodman, he won 1.

Alot of VERY good carvings and to win 1 ribbon is a true honor, but when I saw they had each won more then one, I really wasn't that surprised. Both guys are top notch carvers, we all know that!

Coooooool! I may have to go this weekend to check it out. Thank you for the update Bob....I appreciate it and I'm sure the others do to.

I wished they (CCA) would call and notify ribbon winners when they finish the judging.

Bob,
Glad to hear you had a great time. I'm sure you picked up a few tips here and there. When you get rested you'll have to tell us all about it!!!

Congratulations to all who won (I knew you could do it guys!!!)

On the communication issue I asked a CCA member to pass along the message regarding the lack of communication from the group (at least post something on the website). Most people don't know it but the group created a train scene that only a few of us have seen some pictures of and even fewer of us have even seen in person. I believe the train is the subject of their next book, but I guess we won't know until they let us know...

...great oraganization with a noble purpose but failing at the simplest task...communication...

...I really appreciate all the folks on this board who keep us abreast of whats happening in our art and sharing photos of their work!!!
