Default Carving A Cowboy's Horse

I would like to wish everyone the very best of Holidays. May you all have a prosperous 2008. Thanks to all of the woodcarvers on this site for the inspiration I have received. I have attached some pictures of my most recent project. A very special thank you to Lynn Doughty for all of your contribution on this, the hundreds of photos with descriptions for each, and for the great demonstration that you give us on carving a cowboy's horse at the Dayton show in November. I hope the carvers on this site keep up the good work. It's sure a joy to see what everyone is working on....Myron Compton

Thumbs up Re: Carving A Cowboy's Horse

Myron .. That horse is fantastic .. I love the paint job ..... and puttting him in the scene is the icing on the cake ..

You did a great job of carving .. but the detailed paint job is a looker ..

The entire piece with the Santa is a 10.0 winner for sure ..

Your detail is wonderful ..

Absolutely great work ..

Gene

Great carving Myron. You did a fantastic job. I just started my own cowboy horse from Lynn's blog and if it turns out half as good as yours I will consider it a success. Thanks for sharing.
