I learned years ago when painting a lot, that is, when I ran into a problem and couldn't see just what was wrong, I would hold the painting up to a mirror and many times if not all , you can see where its off, the same holds true for a carving.......as for looking at myself in the mirror and then carving....err....I don't do trolls!
