Default caricature moose

One of the carvers in our club is in the process of carving a caricature moose standing up right in overalls wearing a hat. It is about 15 to 20 inches high in bass. I wanted to see where he got the pattern however he has had it for several years (bought it as a blank) and could not recall where he got it. Anyone have any ideas where he might have got it or the pattern?

There is also a Caricature Moose carving article in Carving Magazine #14. I don't think it is as tall as you want but it could be resized.

I believe that, that moose is from Mike Shipley's book I just ordered his other book on carving country folks and also How to Carve Caricatures in the Ozark Style by Robert Enlow (That's not the exact title) from Little Shavers so I am looking forward to attempting to start carving some caricatures. I thought I would add my 1.5 cents worth in about the moose anyway.

Andy, all are great books. Some real nice beginner stuff in Enlows book. I like it alot. Shipley's books are great!

Thank you! I have picked up the book (the Shipley book) from a friend and you are right, it has well dressed moose in it. It is a great book for character carvers. The moose that I was looking for is somewhat taller (say 15 to 18 inches high) and wearing overalls. His antlers are carved separately. In any event, thank you for your help!
Regards
Keith
