Default Caricature Carvers Showcase book

I don't how many have gotten the carving book ( just came out Sept 1st.) "Caricature Carvers Showcase" by caricature carvers of America , but of out of all the carving books I have ,if I had to make a choice of keeping Only two carving books, this book has to be one of them. every carver in the book gives you a pattern of his carving, wow I have gone through it at least 6 times It is getting hard to read because of all the drool marks. Fox chapel sells it . it does not teach you how to carve, but it does raise you sights for something to strive for and a idea how far you can go if you want to.. you are seeing the best of the best. I don't know if beginner carvers would benefit from it, but I know It is some good reading for someone who has a idea about carving already.
Jim

Jim,
I got mine saturday and just loved it. Great reference carvings from some of the best! I also got the Santa Claus book and was a little disapointed. Guess I should'nt have looked at the Caricature Carving book first. I agree with you if I was to have only two books in my collection this would be one of them!

Guess I should order mine now that it is out. I've been looking forward to it, also might as well order some new tools too!

jim i was reluctant to purchase that one becuse i felt the cca circus and the full moon was a let down for me, it covered the carcers and projects but left me hanging

but i guess both of them were worth the price becuse i didnt have to fly to another town to see the projects and sleep in somebody elses bed,

guess ill get that one as well..
