Default caricature bust i finished today

thought i would post a pic of a caricature bust i finished today.i think i will name this one "bill" because he reminds me of a carver in hickory,nc.

hope ya"ll like him

Bart,

You get a lot of nice texture in the faces you carve. Do you have a particular persons style you've studied or did you develop your own way to do faces?

thanks folks for all of your nice comments.



mike: my style of face has evolved from studying pete leclair and phil and vicki bishop. they are about my favorites and have taken classes from them both. my style i guess you could say is alot of leclair i have studied him alot and some of it is my own from what i have found to be easier. hope this helps

Excellent work. I would be afraid to use that much color on the face but it looks really great. Again, nice job.
