Yes mitchell,
i think that appropate,
I did start this thread on the size of caratures with a serious question in mind my carvings sizees are small becuse i was limited in materials i could obtain localy.
but, being gabby i let tthe subject stray...

becuse your a moderator is it in your powers for you to move the bodak - osage orange messages - to Wood and Materials where it would be more appropiate as subject - topic.

maybe under the topic of different wood species.. or general experiances with different species.
As i see this one is going to get into other species the way its headed.

i would love to continue the discussion and be more educated but as you say it needs to be moved to a more topic appropiate area..

Done (whew). Please feel free to discuss caricature and sizes, plus sources for that purpose here. We'll leave it open. Discussion on wood species has been moved to "Wood and Materials".

Hey Guys, Thanks for the link to http://www.heineckewood.com/
I have been looking for a source of wood that was reasonable for carving ornaments.
