schooner, Just carve it off a little to one side, with a little crook in it, and be sure to give him a black eye. I would suggest a book by Pete LeClair to learn how to work with faces, and very exaggerated expressions.

Just Google "Broken Nose" and take your pick (pun intended)!

I carve my boxer with a flat nose - and an exaggerated underbite.

Oh, wait.........

I'm thinking of the breed of dog!

But you can use the same principle - smushed, so to speak. Actually, Lynn gave great advice. You may even try "caricature" or "cartoon boxer nose" in your search.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with.

What I would do is google "cartoon" boxer or " caricature " boxer . If you have not carved a "regular" face yet or a caricture face ...then you should do that first , then move to a " boxer " .

I think only pete La Clair has a pattern for a boxer . You can look him up on the caricature carvers of america web site and e-mail him . he might send you the pattern if you ask real nice
