Default Bottle stoppers

Hi Everyone. I'm Ginny. I'm 67 and have become addictive to wood carving. I'm new at wood carving , started in May. So please tell me what you think.
I'm not happy with the bases.
I also want to thank Mr. Doughty for his videos.
Thanks GinnytooU

Hi there, and welcome
You can't go wrong following Lynn's instruction he sets the bar high.
I think you have done really well and should keep carving as that is how you will get better. I see nothing wrong with your bases at all.
One thing about woodcarving there are no short cuts only practice and more practice.
Everyone here is really nice and always happy to help you whether your a new or advanced carver. We can all earn something new no matter how long we have been carving.

Ginny, You are doing fantastic, I like the one on the left best. The bases look ok to me.

You have done a good job on those. I like the bottle neck on the base.

A good start. You cannot go wrong watching Lynn's videos. He has so much to teach and does a nice job. His blog is very helpful.
Keep carving and they will just get better and better.
