| | Blinky Bill I've had the extreme pleasure of trading one of my Canadian carvings with Blinky Bill (John) for one of his from down under (Australia). I am so please as is my wife, friends and neighbors that I asked his permission to post pics of his handi work. Please be advised the Tiny man that the wood carver has carver is 1/4 inch by 7/8th and is amazing detail altho it probably won't show that well in the pic. Here they are enjoy.

| | Re: Blinky Bill Gene and Thomp, I had to share this one, I just can't believe anyone could get such detail in a piece of wood that's only 1/4 inch square, it really is amazing.

| | Re: Blinky Bill G'day Fellers,
I'm real glad you like my little carver but really don't think I deserve all that praise. He was fun to do and I got caught up wth the idea of doing a flat plane carver doin' a flat plane carvin' and was more than pleased to send him to Canada.......Below is what I received in the exchange (named him Li'l Tuck) and frankly I think I got the best of the deal, but we both enjoyed the swap and I guess that's the most important thing eh?

| | Re: Blinky Bill Hey Cliff, Thanks for sharing. John, good job on the carver, especially the project he is working on! Not easy to get that kind of detail on that small of a carving!

| | Re: Blinky Bill Great carving cudos to both of you and what a great story of friendship and sharing from across the seas!
Those are both wonderful works but I still can't tell for sure if the shavings on the floor in Blinky's carving are just lying there or if they're glued. I'd imagine that they'd have to be glued for packaged mailing but you'd never know by just looking. Great job to both of ya'll! | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
