| | Bird House Carpenter I finally figured out how to use my wife's camera and thought I would post my lasted carving.
I am still not happy with my painting skills, so untill I get that under control I will not be painting him.

| | Re: Bird House Carpenter Nice work on carving him. Great detail. I agree with Kenny, start with light washes for color. Build them up till you're happy with them.

| | Re: Bird House Carpenter thanks for the boost of confidence. This is my third caricature carving and I learn on each one. I still need to find the right mix for skin color which I am working on.

| | Re: Bird House Carpenter Not really sure what I need help with I’m just not happy with my outcome.
I use delta cream coat paints and good brushes. I put the paint on in light washes and take my time.
Here is a Lumber Jack I just finished (my #2 carving) Let me get some criticism and pointers please. Thanks
