I finally figured out how to use my wife's camera and thought I would post my lasted carving. I am still not happy with my painting skills, so untill I get that under control I will not be painting him.

He looks good. Give it a try painting him but in washes. Bet you will surprise yourself.

Nice work on carving him. Great detail. I agree with Kenny, start with light washes for color. Build them up till you're happy with them. Bob

thanks for the boost of confidence. This is my third caricature carving and I learn on each one. I still need to find the right mix for skin color which I am working on.

Very nice layout. Would love to see it once it's painted. You mentioned that you need help with the painting - What specifically are you concerned with? Maybe someone can help.

| Not really sure what I need help with I’m just not happy with my outcome. I use delta cream coat paints and good brushes. I put the paint on in light washes and take my time. Here is a Lumber Jack I just finished (my #2 carving) Let me get some criticism and pointers please. Thanks
