Wow! What a terrific carving. He seems so "alive." That's something I haven't been able to achieve with my carvings, yet.

Hi Dennis, Ron, and Corey, Thank you for your nice comments,Glad you like him. I'm just finishing Don by the Lakes suggestion on No Ears,No Beard, No Hat, and trying to keep the same Face. My Faces never turn out the same but gave it a shot. it later today. Merle

No Beard,No Hat, No Ears, But he has Teeth. Ha, Ha. This is from Don by the Lakes Suggestion. Basswood 6"x2.5" Finishe Blo,Watco Dark Wax, Acrylic Paint,and Feed n wax. It's from Elf pattern . NO resemblance Huh? lol. He looks like the Salesman I bought a Car from. lol. Was interesting to do without a pattern. Merle

All I can say is WOW! I can't believe how quickly you turned the "car salesman" out, especially with all that detail. You are really good. I was just looking at your elf yesterday. I guess that's the speed of the internet for you. Now if only some of that "fast" mrubbed off on me. LOL.

Merle, your car salesman just blew me away, what a fantastic carving. It's amazing what can be done to change one carving into another and you sure pulled it off with this one. Great stuff.

Excellent carving Merle. And how fast you managed to carve the other one, another fantastic face! I really like your eyes, they seem to be alive. Also, compliments on your finishing, very, very good.
