Default The Angler

It's nice to dream about the warmer months ahead of us and some of the activities we take part in. Just finished this lucky fellow and the catch he made on the famous Margaree River here in Nova Scotia. He stands about 13 inches tall overall and is carved from basswood. Some of the pictures are a bit overexposed as the salmon is bright silver on the sides. Thanks to Lynn for the inspiration over many hours of viewing his amazing videos. Hope you like him!

Really nice. Reminds me of the days long gone by that I use to fish with my Dad. Very nice carving and the painting is excellent. Ginny

Very nice!
I have spend a few seasons on the Margaree and the Cheticamp for Atlantic salmon (like your angler has in hand!).
Stayed at the Normaway Inn, Duck Cove Inn and various assorted cottages over the years. Beautiful part of the world and a beautiful people.
...Am a lifetime member of the Margaree River Association as well.
Nice carving indeed!
Wishing you all the best,

RussL.
