Thanks, fellas for your kind words, I had blast working on them,The guy in the overalls is my favorite too, All three were carved out of Basswood with a light acrylic wash followed by deft semi gloss and then antiqued with watco dark walnut. | | Re: And,boy was the wood chips and paint flyin!! I usually carve the heads out of a 3' by 3" by 6" chunk of basswood, or whatevers laying around my shop. Just keep practicing I seen your carvings and it look like your doing great!! Lonnie |

| | Re: And,boy was the wood chips and paint flyin!! Great work Lonnie. All three have expression. Mr. Overalls is super.  - On all three you chose to leave the shoulder end cut straight up and down not sloped in as some do on busts. Was there a reason for that or is that just how it came out?
