Thanks everyone for the generous comments, what a great bunch of fellow carvers. Im still working with the BLO in places I can get by with without painting, all the flesh tones on this carving is BLO, as is the hat. Still working with the different shades of wax to change the tones. Codger..Albert is 12 1/2 " with the 1 inch base. I was going for a suitcase in his right hand but it seemed a little crowded with the big hat, so I settled on a smaller size overnight bag. LOL....
